Mirik Castle is located on the top of the mountain on the west side of the Mirik village of Lachin district of Azerbaijan, at the southern end of the mountain range that extends to the north. Although the date of construction of the Mirik Castle has not been determined yet, the use of cyclopean masonry in the construction of it shows it dates back to very ancient times. The Mirik Castle is 200-250 meters long and 30-50 meters wide. The Castle is divided into three equal parts measuring 80 x 50 meters. A circular tower of 7-8 meters with a wall thickness of 3 meters was built in the western part of the Castle, about 150 meters from the top of the Castle in the direction of the village cemetery. The back of the tower is covered with piles of stones up to the top of the tower. The exit of the tower opens to a small open area.
A 30-meter defense wall was built to the south of the Castle. The retaining wall is completed with a 15 x 20-meter rectangular tower. The walls are built in a cyclops style and the height of the walls is 3-4-5 meters, and the thickness is 2.5-3 meters. The door of the tower opens to a room built inside the castle. The basement of the Castle consists of tunnels branching in different directions and rooms of different sizes.
